UU was honored to provide the music and some prizes for the Scar-A-Thon event on May 12th. Our neighbors at Scar Hair organized an amazing event to benefit the Cancer Society of South Africa and the Saartjie Baartman Centre for Women and Children
It was a beautiful Spring (Fall?) day, my first back in Cape Town after a trip to New York. With FHM Model Samantha Laura Kaye flipping burgers and volunteers getting their heads (or chests) shaved right next to the DJ booth, it was a wonderful and surreal way to return to Kloof Street. Certainly one of the most memorable gigs I’ve played, and all for a great cause!
